Paris (Perry) A. Tabor is the President of TEAC Structural Engineering, a leading regional structural engineering firm recognized for single and multi-family production housing, custom estates and light commercial projects.
After obtaining his Civil Engineering degree (B.S.) with an emphasis in structural and construction management from Oregon State University, Perry spent numerous years working with mid-size Bay Area engineering firms, with responsibilities ranging from a project engineer through manager in both structural and civil engineering operations. In 1987, Perry Tabor founded TEAC.
His broad engineering experience, spanning over 25 years, was preceded by a decade working in the custom home construction trade. As Perry is TEAC's technical leader, having such "hands-on" experience has provided TEAC with a tremendous advantage of understanding the application of engineering specifications with realistic construction practices and significant value-engineering. He has mentored his fellow engineers within these practical principles.
Mr. Tabor is an active member of various relevant industry associations, including: the Home Builders Association of No. Ca, North State and San Joaquin Valley, SEAONC (Structural Engineers Association of Northern California), ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), ULI (Urban Land Institute), the AIA (American Institute of Architects), SFA (Steel Framing Alliance and the CBIA (California Building Industry Association).
Mr. Tabor is a respected leading authority in Light-Gauge Steel LGS/Cold Formed Steel (CFS) design and Past President of the California Chapter of the LGSEA (Light-Gauge Steel Engineers Association), culminating into his recent nomination to CFSEI (Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute) national board. He is also the Past Chairman of the HBANC Associates Membership Committee and G.R.E.A.T.S. Committee and continues to proactively contribute to the Multifamily Committee at the State CBIA (California Building Industry Association) level and at HBANC local chapter, working towards facilitating multifamily housing initiatives.
Mr. Tabor proudly teams up with top builders, architects and professionals on projects throughout California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Washington and Oregon.
